1st off, let me confirm this unit is the one with the small hidden drawer in the top if you are wondering. It does not say it in the description. [...] Like any wood finish, I would suggest to put a coat of polyeurathane on the top of it to assure no water stains ruin it. This unit came in one piece and there is no assembly. Gave it a 4 only due to a small stain blemish on the right side - noticable close up, but not from afar.
