Expect to get thin panels combined with veneers and particle board. The thin wood side panels makes for tedious and careful assembly, make sure you have time set aside to put this together nicely. Once assembled, all panels are reinforced by the wood frames. I bought this instead of a comparable style at a retail store made of solid wood for [$]. I needed it just to have something bed side that is stylishly smart and matches my desk. The 'espresso' color description is accurate. Nickel knob is a nice touch. This nightstand is best for light use (store eyeglass,books; maybe socks :-).

the night stand arrived damaged and was like pulling teeth to get part to completely put it together. Part finally arrived almost 3 weeks later damaged same as the original. craftfully managed to repair so that it worked but was made from particle board so is very delicate
